Dare I ask how much the Taste Maker cost? I was hoping to buy one of Jamie Oliver's shaker things for Michael's last birthday but dismissed it as too expensive.

It was $10!

It's not the endorsed model... but it's very good. Goof heavy granite ball and thick solid plastic casing.

He got it off those book sellers that come around to offices and factories.

Ya want me to get him to grab you one?

Sweet! If it looks sturdy then I'm totally up for one.

Celebrity endorsement be damned - for some reason it costs an extra $12 to purchase one that comes with a plastic spoon narrow enough to fit inside the shaker. Sheesh.

I'll get him to grab one tomorrow and I'll let you know.

I got given one of the Jamie Oliver shaker thingies as a present. I barely use it - I much prefer my mortar and pestle! Definitely go for the non endorsed model!

I am a fan of my M&P, and don't think the shaker is going to out-do it, but Furry's got the fervour of the recently converted, and wants to do his Nam Jim sauce all a la Jamie style...

He's even been practicing his technique!!

Is that one of those things you shake stuff up in and it gets all chopped/mushed up?

Mr. Jazz received one of those as a gift. He hasn't used it yet.
